The tubs are planted up twice a year for summer and winter planting, they are done en masse with as many volunteers as possible. After that one or two volunteers normally look after a particular tub throughout the rest of the year. It takes a fair amount or organising to have the correct bulbs/flowers and design all in different places at the correct time and then there is always the clearing up and a trip to the tip.

The tubs are available for sponsorship or dedication (each tub has side panels where a dedication or memorial plaque can be placed) All proceeds from this go towards keeping the village in bloom. Please contact us for further details.

The Friends negotiated with the council to obtain the tubs after the 2006 Open Golf and have ever since raised funds, to plant and maintain them. Thanks to support memberships and donations our volunteers have managed to keep a brilliant floral display going throughout the village.
